As the season shifts from summer to fall, we see the temperature getting colder and the leaves begin to change color, creating a beautiful scene outside. It can be a really fun time for kids to play outside amongst the colorful, dry, crisp fall leaves and the opportunity to put on a new jacket.
There are a number of fun outdoor activities for children that you can enjoy with them. You can also join rocklin kids events via https://sacramento4kids.com/events.
One of the most popular children's autumn activities that has been passed down through generations and remains fun for kids of all ages, including us big "kids", is playing on a pile of leaves. Invite the children to go outside to help you sweep the fallen leaves from the pile in the yard.

You can create several small groups or one large group. Make them bounce or fall back onto the pile. Kids can also hide in the pile and start a game of hide and seek. Playing with crunchy leaves can be a lot of fun, creative. You can make a rain of leaves, leaves, or a fort.
Another fun outdoor activity for kids in fall is collecting leaves. Find a good container to keep the leaves in good condition and walk around the neighborhood to find as many different types and colors of leaves as you can.
Knowing your tree can even teach you about different types of trees. When you get home you can ask which leaves from what kind of tree. When you take the collected sheets home, you can use them to make art or press them into a book to dry and use for art or other fun activities.
